Inactivity has important consequences in terms of well-being and health, such as lower quality of life, lower life expectancy, lower productivity, etc. Ternua has joined this initiative in order to promote more active lifestyles with the common motto #beactive!
A project about shared values
At Ternua we consider ourselves fortunate to live in an environment of great beauty where we can enjoy great experiences with others. One of our purposes is to encourage the majority of the population to enjoy the gift of nature and share unforgettable moments in the natural environment, with special emphasis on the younger generation. In an environment where technology plays a very important role, our goal is to encourage the younger generation to experience real adventures in the natural environment.
On this basis, and sharing the same purposes, Ternua was a founding member of the association “It’s Great Out There Coalition”, based in Brussels. Michel Gogniat, Commercial Director of Ternua, plays a fundamental role in this initiative as treasurer of the association and also as a member the management board. “At Ternua, on the one hand, we are using our communication capacity to highlight this problem and, on the other hand, we are collaborating with associations such as the Basque Camping Club and the federations to carry out initiation actions to introduce people to the outdoor environment (climbing, walking, hiking, water sports, etc.),” says Michel Gogniat about the actions launched by Ternua within the framework of this initiative.
